The hotel will never tell you its drawbacks ( e.g. a major highway between the hotel and the beach ) but we will.

3) Due to last minute cancellations and no shows, some hotels tend to overbook, especially at the height of the season. This means that you can arrive and find your room given to somebody else. This would rarely happen if you booked through us, simply because we are given preference over first time independent guests.

4) When booking our highly recommended hotels, our policy of using email vs. real time online booking forms allows you to communicate with a real person, and provides flexibility and security over your reservation. Booking a holiday is different than booking a business trip.

To the best of our knowledge our rates are the lowest available on the internet. If there is a lower rate available for the same dates, the same hotel, and the same type of accommodation, please give us a chance to match it, or beat it.

Cancellation Policy, Terms, and Conditions

 
CANCELLATION POLICY :

For any cancellations between 20 and 8 days prior to check in,
cancellation fee could be up to 50% of the total amount of the confirmed reservation.


For any cancellations within 7 days prior to arrival and in case of non show or early departure cancellation fee could be up to the TOTAL amount of the confirmed reservation.


Cancellations MUST be requested via email, or fax.
Cancellations over the phone are NOT valid.

Cancellation fees are at the discretion of each hotel and charged by the hotel.

Please note that each hotel has its own cancellation policy but the one above is more or less the standard in the Greek Hotel Industry, and that by booking through us you agree to be bound by this policy.

Cancellation Policies are much stricter for resort and holiday hotels ( seasonal business ) than for city hotels, and normally they are much stricter with small hotels rather than big ones.

To the best of our knowledge all information supplied by the hotels is accurate and up to date, however we are not responsible for any errors or misrepresentations.

Important : If we email you an official booking confirmation, that means that the hotel has formally confirmed your booking to us in writing via email or fax. The hotel is legally bound to honor the booking. The ultimate responsibility of each booking rests with the hotel. If a hotel cancels your booking, or in case of over bookings the hotel is under obligation to provide alternative accommodation of equal or superior quality.

Please note that we can not accept any obligation or liability whatsoever unless we officially confirm the booking, and in this case our maximum liability is limited to a full refund.

About NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSITS : The tourist season in the Greek islands, traditionally runs from April to October but in reality it runs from May through September. Most hotels are small to medium, family owned operations that depend on a successful season to make a living. Booking cancellations can have a severe impact on these hotels. Big city hotels that work year round can have very relaxed cancellation policies but a 10 room hotel in Santorini or Mykonos can not afford to have one.

Our company loses a lot of bookings because a lot of people prefer to book without any cost or obligation. We have chosen to accept only serious and well planned bookings. Somebody who has planned well ahead is not afraid to pay a nonrefundable deposit because they are almost sure that they will make it. The hotels on the other hand feel secure with our bookings and thus court our business by giving us good prices, their best rooms, and top service. In the end we all win. We earn a commission, the guest benefits from better prices, and service, and finally the hotel by keeping cancellations to a minimum.

The deposit has to be nonrefundable for this reason : If you book a double room in a 10 room hotel in April for arrival in August, we consider the room booked and unavailable. During the months between your booking and actual arrival, we receive a lot of requests for that room which we have to reject. If you cancel 21 days before arrival, you pay no cancellation fees, we lose the booking, the hotel loses the booking, and all the people who requested the room and were rejected have lost the room, and by now they probably have booked elsewhere. Unless we manage to fill the room at the last moment we have lost serious money, time, and effort. Your deposit pays a portion of all that.

Since we like to think of ourselves as nice and fair people, when we receive a cancellation that we judge as really legitimate and/or unavoidable we will NOT refund the deposit but we might allow it to be used for a subsequent booking.

Service fee :  A service fee of 5% is added to bookings in order to cover our costs of credit card charges ( ranging from 2.36% to up to 4% ), phone calls, and miscellaneous booking expenses.
