We have been following the modeling scene closely since back in the 70s when we lived in Manhattan ( 1975 - 1982 ) .

We represent models from all over the world, and especially Europe. We are constantly on the look out for new faces and we are always happy to work with other agencies representing their models worldwide.

The way we work is as follows :

1) Every time we decide to represent a new model we email her web page to all our clients such as photographers, editorial directors, advertising agencies, etc. If there is an offer for an assignment the decision as to accept or not stays with the model. Our clients can always visit our website to check if any of our models fits their needs for particular assignments. When the model is based abroad the client always pays for traveling expenses plus the modeling fees negotiated by us. Travel is arranged by us via WorldTravelersOnline.Com and is always prepaid by the client.

2) In order to make it more financially attractive to our clients, we periodically invite models to visit us for periods ranging from 1 week to 1 month and try to schedule photo shoots during that period. We pay for all traveling expenses, accommodation, and meals, and the clients pay only for the modeling fees.

Having your portfolio available on the web is the ultimate venue for discovery and recognition by modeling agencies, casting directors, advertising agencies, and catalogue companies around the world. Not to mention the fashion conscious general public. You no longer have to send expensive, time-consuming postal mailings to agencies and industry executives, ... simply send your Portfolio Site URL ( web address ) by email, fax or over the phone.

Agencies, casting directors, and magazine editors can look at your work on the web from the computer on their desk. They can find you in minutes versus several days or weeks!

In the past, if a company was looking for a certain style or look, there was no way to see everyone out there, except by contacting various modeling agencies and waiting for photos or composites to be delivered.

Industry Advice - How to conduct yourself as a Model.

The following is a list of hints, suggestions and things to avoid when you enter to work with a model agency. It is by no means a complete list of everything you need to know but you should find it helpful in getting you off on the right foot.

NEVER TALK MONEY with anyone but your agent or manager. (This includes the client, photographers, other talent or anyone else at the booking)

NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL PHONE NUMBERS UNLESS CLEARED BY YOUR AGENT. When asked for your number, give the number of your agent. If you are with many agencies give the number of the agency that arranged the booking.

NEVER SIGN ANY RELEASE other than the voucher your agency may have given you, unless you have permission from your agent or manager. You do not want to sign away rights to additional money.

NEVER “NO-SHOW” FOR A JOB OR GO-SEE. Not showing up can cost you a career, and your agent or manager a client and is not tolerated. When you have made a commitment to a booking or go-see you are expected to be there, regardless of traffic, bad weather or minor illnesses. Short of a major, serious medical emergency, you are always expected to show up on time and be “ready to go”. This is a competitive industry and many young talent learned the hard way that they were replaceable.

NEVER BE LATE. If you are traveling to a job in a major city, assume there will be lots of traffic and a lack of parking. In bad weather, give yourself extra time. Bring a map to avoid getting lost. Treat bookings and go-sees like job interviews. It looks unprofessional to show up late to an interview or to rush in at the last minute out-of-breath and sweating. Don’t do it for modeling assignments either. Arrive at least 20-30 minutes before your call time so that you can check your appearance in the bathroom, psyche yourself up and calmly and coolly walk onto the set.

NEVER LIE ABOUT AN EXPERIENCE. Our industry is very close knit and if you say you did a fashion show for “so and so,” somebody in the client’s office may have worked with that designer and knows that you are lying. Remember to treat this like a job interview. Tell the client what you may lack in experience you more than make up for in enthusiasm.

BOOKINGS AND GO-SEES ARE ARRANGED FOR YOU. Never substitute a fellow model for yourself unless you have approval from your agent or manager. You were picked to go, not your friend. As well if you are over 18, attend go-sees and bookings by yourself. Leave mom, dad, sister, brother, boyfriends and girlfriends at home. If under 18, you may bring one parent but leave everyone else at home. If you and a friend are both working the same job or were invited to the same go-see you may travel together but separately to meet the client.

NEVER CALL AN AGENCY. The industry is comprised of people requiring bookings and people filling bookings. The last thing either one of them wants is to take a telephone call from a model. Agencies make telephone calls; not take them. If you call an agency or client to promote yourself, inquire about jobs or for any other reason, you will be promoting yourself negatively as this distracts booking agents from the focus; filling bookings.
